I apologize for the long wait of this interview...especially to MyNameIsBlueSkye ...since I have no time to even connect to internet. Here is part 2 of the interview...and sorry, no clickable link to another Xangans mentioned here so please copy their names and follow by .xanga.com to visit their pages. Thanks!!

Part 2
Starrynite45: Yeah, so won't get too serious about it then. Next question...now this section is all about your blog. Started from the first time you blogged...When did you start blogging? Why & how do you blog...especially why you choose Xanga?
mynameisblueskye: When I first blogged, it was about 5 years ago, but I only had it, because my then-girlfriend convinced me to have one. She also convinced me to have a MySpace. I just used it to practice doing music critiquing, which was the job I had, when I was a part of my school newspaper.
I decided to open up, when I was getting tired enough of MySpace to want to push it aside for a while for Xanga. After that, Xanga has been my stomping ground for talking about anything from connecting super hero characters to real people to sex..
I blog mostly to get my thoughts out, and all of my ideas. Not just that, but to be a refreshment from the back and forth animosity between the suddenly political and the religiously obsessed. Haha!
Starrynite45:Yeah, I see you blog mostly about everything:)But in your opinion as one of readers..which topic most likely to draw people to blogs and constantly keep them stuck with the said blogs?
mynameisblueskye:Anything, really. To me, its something that is not too dry, but something that doesn't seem too desperate for attention. I like posts that I can learn from, or posts that can entertain me without being too usual. The ones that keep me stuck are the ones that feel like I am talking with them in a pizza parlor conversation (except not too loose.)
Something fun, something informative, something that can open up a conversation. That's the type of blogs I like anyway. I can't speak for everybody else, really.
I also don't mind speaking about people's personal life, as long as it isn't too depressing or too redundant, to be honest. I may be just a person on the internet, but I have feelings, too.
Starrynite45: And as a long-time blogger...what and what not to do on blogging you wanna tell Xangan bloggers out there?
mynameisblueskye: Well, there is no wrong way to blog. We all blog for ourselves, but open up a little bit for other people. One thing I really can't hang with these days are the depressed blogs. To me, whenever i am depressed, I channel hat into something informative, or try and spin that around. Or move forward. Anything that makes you happy, do it.
Also, the most egregious bloggers are the ones who are pretty obnoxious with their freedom of speech sometimes. By that,I mean the in-your face type. How are they ever going to best their social ills, if in all honesty, they turn into one?
Otherwise, I don't know if I have any rules, other than to be ready for anything. People are very judgmental of you, or just like to mess around. A blog to me is taking everything from your mind and subconscious, spilling it onto paper, maybe something pretty well-arranged.
So, everything that you put up there, we are dumb enough to believe about you. Just keep a cool head, when you are around people who want to mess around. The rest is pretty much up to you. To quote the Isley Brothers: "It's yo' thang, do what you wanna do/I can't tell you who to sock it to." Haha! Hopefully, that line fits.
Starrynite45: Haha...yeah I guess. Next...Like you said, people can be judgmental...how would you handle people that keep commenting bad things on your blogs...especially someone like trolls?
mynameisblueskye:I once jokes that I was 99.5% flame retardant. haha! Because I didn't really have a problem with trolls.
Trolls don't really show up on my site. It's usually on other sites. And when it does, it gives me the chance to demonstrate the most wonderful thing about being on the internet: you get to look at that quote, wonder if it means ANYTHING, then treat the quote as if it was nothing but verbal diarrhea.
mynameisblueskye: Because most of the time it is. Some of the remedies would be being nice ,being sarcastic...anything that gives them the full idea that nothing they can ever say to me can make me stop to their level. Because what do they really want to troll me for, other than boredom and perhaps Jealousy?
So, the truth is I don't really have problems, despite sometimes being a little sensitive. But the best way to deal with things is by being cool, and remembering how beneath you they truly are.
I admit I can have a bit of a temper, and it takes me a while to lose my temper on the internet. But even if I do, I always keep my cool and shoot them back. Once you have the heart and the patience to get them, without firing like a bullet, then you aren't afraid of anyone AND you can handle anything when you are gracing Xanga.
I treat the internet like a digital look at America or a digital and social skim through the World. That's why I initially called Xanga America.com. People can act dumb and say it's just the internet, but in essence I don't see a difference. The same people here on the internet, you can meet on the street. The same ones. So, being trolled is like being confronted on the street by a drunk and belligerent fool or being confronted in an alley. You can't block or erase anyone in an alley. You have to either respond or don't respond.
Those are the only chances you got. After all, you may be able to block them, but they can always come back in another name, you know.
Starrynite45: Wow...that's very insightful towards trolling on Xanga...and what about Xanga itself? You have been here for longer than me and some other Xangans...how do you like Xanga then and now and what new improvement you want to see on Xanga?
mynameisblueskye: Then, I didn't really care. i took it and used it. I don't like being a part of a website I'm not going to use. But more and more, I'm starting to adore Xanga, and all the friends I have made with it.
As for improvements, I would like to say less trolling and also less focusing on the same old topics, but these days, that wish is just not realistic.
I saw some posts that were featured, that sounds so much like the last post I read. But Xanga is still going to keep choosing their own. The best improvement I can ask is for people to be very responsible of the identity that you post online. By identity, I don't mean like your name. I mean like the personality. Because on the internet, people can read your blogs, and from that, name up a character or apply an adjective, that you don't think applies to your own self.
So, the best improvement I can ask of is to be wary of the reputation that you are gaining yourself. And if you are happy with it, then its whatever. Otherwise, I don't think I would have it any other way. And like I said, any of the most popular suggestions for improvements would probably not be the least bit realistic.
So, for anyone who is sick of seeing Megan Fox on Mancouch, either live with it, leave Mancouch, or go to a blog I wrote that posted the idea to give Megan her own website. That way, either you can rant and rave about her, and those that don't want to hear about her know the place they can stay away from. Haha!
Starrynite45: With 5 years on Xanga, you must have some favorite Xangans you’ve been reading...please share some Xangans you think worth subscribing with us.
mynameisblueskye:Let me scroll some. I have about 120 friends, and most of them are worth the read. But to be fair, let me try and skim it down to...20.
Starrynite45: Take you time:D
{20 minutes or so later :P}
mynameisblueskye: 1. IM81U35KY3- That's my autisable blog, for which my creative and more introspective blogs are written. I also just happened to have autism, So, check that out.
2. morbidcoronerchick (aka bitterbittenrockinblonde22) - She's my love interest (read: girlfriend that I referenced on a Datingish post) on Xanga. Trust me. A very interesting type of woman, once you really get to know her. And she will be sure you do.
3. sonychak - like I said, the ladies’s choice of Xanga. haha!
4. SimplyNita - You can almost feel like everytime she writes a blog, you are hearing her heart, picking her brain and anything else. Trust me. Meeting her and reading about her thoughts is a pleasure.
5. they_call_me_steffyjean - You know that girl from church that you have always wanted to talk to, and wound up handing a flower to? Well, I have never went to church with Steffy Jean, but reading her blogs and talking with her feels a lot like that. Not to mention, she is the type of girl that I wouldn't blame any friend she has for liking.
6. SerenaDante - She's not afraid to talk about sex or to express her own sexuality, but she also proves that isn't all her blog is. Gotta have diversity to keep the masses entertained.
7. roxics - When I wrote my blog "Male sex Blogging", roxics says he has his own blog elsewhere where he discusses male sexuality. So, be sure to ask him about that, when you have the time.
8. BunnyParfait - Face it. To paraphrase a rap, Bunny is pretty much that "bitch that you love to hate". But ignore her prickly comments about you, and read her blogs. You'll learn a lot about the world according to her, and also will be pretty informed, too.
9. AlterEgo909 - A curious Christian who doesn't mind talking about anything from Christian values to black hair to even finding out what pansexual is supposed to mean. Hehe! She's also a sweetheart on Xanga, and a pretty popular one, and Xanga Top Blogs will prove. Haha!
10. Paul_Partisan - Any leftists out there, Paul is your man. He tackles anything in the spirit of a hardcore fist-pumper, even if it meant taking the p!ss out of Mancouch on his downtime.
11. RoomTemperatureJeffrey - She is one of the first Xangans I have ever met when I first came to Xanga. Watch her as she completes her quest from being a stuck teenager in high school to a happy and free woman...with a couple of tunes in her CD player.
12. LyricallyCharged - Recommend to her a few good bands, and she'll share a joke or her insight with you.
13. TiRocKiinPiinK - It frightens me how rational and coolheaded this woman can keep, but once you talk to her, either in Xanga or AIM format, you'll be glad to know her.
14. rioting_le_lagos - She is the very first Xangan I knew, when I first got my Xanga. We met through a post I wrote about Bloc Party's A Weekend in the City, which I liked and which just happens to be her favorite band. Talk music or life with her as much as you want. She responds with a smile and a sense of humor.
15. julianne_elise - I just met her like some months ago. But this girl has herself a friendly streak when you meet her. Why wouldn't you want to check her blog out?
16. diane_florence - Diane wasn't the first Christian I encountered on the blog, but she was the first one who proved that Christians can be a real nice comrade. Read her poems, her posts and her hunger for knowledge in life, all while maintaining her faith, and you, too, can be with me asking whatever happened to her.
17. smichy420 - This girl might be more known by her story of having a reckless life, and coming out with the crap-covered end of the stick, but stick wit her this season, and she is the third open Christian I have got to know. As long as you stay on her good side, and don't wait too long, you'll see how great she is. I also wrote a song about her once. She'll direct you to it.
18. joyouswind - As you see, I keep meeting exciting openly Christian women on Xanga. This one is in college, and a very zany woman. Reading her blogs will be like her taking everyday life and painting it in a neon background.
19. snapeful - It took me quite a while to get to know her, but when I did, I decided to search down her blogs. She's the first Korean I really got to know. And on the way, she also introduces me to Korean pop artists to check out, whenever I get the chance. So, she may or may not comment you, but don't be afraid to read her takes on life, Xanga, and Korean entertainment. And don't miss her listing of at least 10 or few Korean women that deserves more attention.:)
Oh! I almost forgot 20. Steph@datingish!. Like SerenaDante, she likes writing about sex, love and her relationship with her boyfriend, who has the gnarliest facial hair I have ever seen. The difference between her and Serena is that when you read steph's blog, it's almost like writing and reading it was like a Tantric act. You can just feel the love, and her love of the labor everytime you read her blog, and everytime she clears up her curiosity on things.
There are more friends I would like to introduce you to theacematt2 and XxHex_WingsxX are both musicians of Xanga and LasyAsianInvasion is also a riot of a woman, but if you want to check out more friends, all you have to do is surf my Friends' list, if you just happened to have the time.
Starrynite45: That’s very long list! Some of them are kinda new to me...gotta check out! Almost the last question: how do you see yourself on Xanga in a couple of year?
mynameisblueskye: Well, I hope I have it in a couple of years. I'd be the oldest one on Xanga. But personally, I'd be going out, maybe adding a few more demos for music. There will be more of the same. Discussing my life, discussing different ideas and my ability to think outside the box of life, and maybe more about sex. Threw ill be plenty of diversity. Right now, I had an idea of how we might maintain our Xanga or anything, if we died the next day.
Starrynite45: Aww...we’re almost done here...I have so much fun interviewing you! Now, before you go...please say something to your friends & our readers :D
mynameisblueskye: Thanks so much for voting for me, and if you see a person who likes to blog and make friends, tell them about Xanga. tell 'em Blue Skye sent ya!
And to those who just joined up on Xanga, welcome! I hope you like it here. Remember, don't back down from trolls and keep your composure. You may be able to block them on the internet, but you can't block enemies in real life.
Later, people.
Starrynite45: And this is MyNameIsBlueSkye, a winner of Xanga King 2009!
Remember to check out MyNameIsBlueSkye’s favorite Xangans list and also check out his site too if you just stumbled upon here!

And you seee where My blogs have hinted at it for a while, some examples which were revisited in the previous post..
Now..... I'm coming after AIDS, and i'm going to expose it for the apparently very treatable and even possibly curable POS that it really is...
Now Everywhere you turn around or look, people keep saying and doing that same song and dance about HIV and AIDS... and you know what they inform the masses?
Eventually most HIV-infected individuals develop AIDS. These individuals mostly die from opportunistic infections or malignancies associated with the progressive failure of the immune system.[5] Without treatment, about 9 out of every 10 persons with HIV will progress to AIDS after 10–15 years. Many progress much sooner.[6] Treatment with anti-retrovirals increases the life expectancy of people infected with HIV. Even after HIV has progressed to diagnosable AIDS, the average survival time with antiretroviral therapy (as of 2005) is estimated to be more than 5 years.[7] Without antiretroviral therapy, death normally occurs within a year.[8]
While there is currently no cure or vaccine for HIV/AIDS, people living with HIV disease can benefit from an array of antiretroviral therapies and other services that have proven effective against it. HIV is now managed as a chronic, long-term disease for many Americans.
Federal efforts are underway to investigate even more effective drug regimens, develop vaccines, and design prevention strategies that can help people from becoming infected. Most are under the auspices of the National Institutes of Health, within HHS.
And yea basically every other site, same ol BS... sayin it can't be cure.. but treated... blah blah blah yackety smackety....
Well, as far as i'm concerned.. there are WAY too many claiming that this disease is ALREADY BEATABLE for it to be just simply labeled as incurable... and i'm gonna shed sum light on things that may just make you 100% Aids Free!
And i'm gonna try to do this without goin on forever, i'm gonna actually try to promote this post to the masses, which is hard to do with a "D" rating.. but still.............
Well for starters, as was stated in a video on a previous post... there is actually a Patent for the aids cure... Just look up U.S. Patent #5676977 Go ahead... google it.. .i'll wait...
What? to lazy to do it? Well I'll post a nice abstract from something that explains this method.. which is Method of curing AIDS with tetrasilver tetroxide molecular crystal devices
The diamagnetic semiconducting molecular crystal tetrasilver tetroxide (Ag4 O4) is utilized for destroying the AIDS virus, destroying AIDS synergistic pathogens and immunity suppressing moieties (ISM) in humans.
A single intravenous injection of the devices is all that is required for efficacy at levels of about 40 PPM of human blood. The device molecular crystal contains two mono and two trivalent silver ions capable of "firing" electrons capable of electrocuting the AIDS virus, pathogens and ISM. When administered into the bloodstream, the device electrons will be triggered by pathogens, a proliferating virus and ISM, and when fired will simultaneously trigger a redox chelation mechanism resulting in divalent silver moieties which chelate and bind active sites of the entities destroying them. The devices are completely non-toxic. However, they put stress on the liver causing hepatomegaly, but there is no loss of liver function.
But Actually, I think that the reason why some of this stuff isn't exposed was summed up in the 1st comment on my xanga since April fools day That was left by CaKaLusa, why isn't this stuff out further in mainstream media?
You really want to know what probably the biggest reason is?
Ah yes... isn't that the sad reality.... I mean if they do ever This Aids vaccine off the ground, it'll probably cost an arm, leg, first born, and a human head to recieve.. I mean, some aids drugs are going for like $25,000 already and that's just to treat it, not even to cure it.
I mean Lets think about it, If sites like http://www.aliveandwell.org/ Hit the mainstream, could you imagine the impact that could have on the drug companies? All of this raising money for Aids research and prevention, is it actually rasing money to find the first cure and prevention for aids, or are we just trying to find the expensive cure and prevention for Aids that will make millions of dollars for the Drug companies?
The facts show that A.I.D.S. (Acquired Immune Deficiency) is the biggest and greatest medical hoax there is and ever was. AIDS was created as modern day FEAR tactic to continue the control and domination over the American people via sex and fear, a powerful combination, and it has worked like a charm.
Then it goes into talking about Azidothymidine, or "AZT" which apparently has a lot of controversy- with it
It even goes on to say further along in the article
so-called A.I.D.S is an umbrella term for about 30+ common diseases, or their symptoms, to be technical, that people already know about and suffer and die from daily.
Among Many Many Many other things And even offers of some herbs and things... well Damn, go look at the article yourself, and see what it's all about. Even if you're completely Skeptical, I would say that it is definitely worth at least a read through.
Then again, you may not want to know about that type of stuff, i mean after all, most people in mainstream health don't wana know about things like 35% food grade Hydrogen Peroxide, and they sure as hell don't want you to know about this guy named Dr. Sebi or anything he has to say, they want to
Cut money for Aids prevention.. even if it's gonna cost more money in the long run to do such, and Terminate Aids patients, as I mentoned about Mr Schwarzenger doing earlier in the year, apparently. maybe i'm reading that wrong tho? you tell me. some feedback is definitely welcomed...
It just bothers me greatly, that all of this information is out there, but it's like it's completely unknown.. I mean people like smichy420 could quite possibly have a chance to beat the disease altogether with some of this information, but with the lack of promotion of any of this information, it'll be pretty hard to know one way or the other
Actually, I don't think I even need to keep going with this post right now... I'm gonna stop right here, and do some promoting, and see if I can get..... at least 5 people to view this post, A feat that i haven't accomplished since... April fools day... and that i've only accomplished.. 3 times since the 3rd of January.
But you Kno, i've come to realize that.. with my "D" rating.... A lot of people aren't gonna be able to see this post... that's why I mirrored a very similar version of this post on The Other version of this site...
Why? b/c ANYONE can comment on there, and there is no "D" rankings and mess of course, that version is going to have a lot more material in it probably, primarily because a lot of the xanga links won't be accessible to any non xangan, due to the verification system....
Take the Xanga version, and the Nutang version.. and spread this information all around the web. Spread it like it was a virus! Hopefully Some of this info can be spreaded and expanded upon for everyone! Take care, and keep yourself informed people
Everyone has been waiting for our King to grace Xanga with his present after the contest. Here is your first chance to revisit him once again as a winner of Xanga King 2009, MyNameIsBlueSkye!
This man will show you what is he made of, his thoughtful opinion towards online world and many more in which we have to split this interview in two parts!
Today we present you Part 1 of our interview with the crowned King about his part in Xanga King 2009 contest.
P.S. Even though we had been having connection problems...but we still got this interview finished! Thanks for his patient ...really!
Starrynite45: Alright...let's get started then lol mynameisblueskye: Sure. YEAH!
Starrynite45: First off with my traditional question: Please describe yourself in five words mynameisblueskye: The five words are really, introverted, honest, imaginative, helpful and curious.
Starrynite45: Next, about Xanga King 2009. Congrats you on being crown again! BTW, what inspired you to join in this contest at first place? mynameisblueskye: Like Sonychak, I originally did it for fun. I really didn't think I was going to win the contest, because I was kind of a small timer, despite the fact that i have been there for 5 years. I was also not much of a contest man, but I thought I'd jump in, have fun, and get to met more people through Xanga because of it.
Starrynite45: However, you won many votes out of Xangans. What do you think made them give their votes to you? Both judges & the voters mynameisblueskye: I think it might have been the answers. Truthfully, I didn't know. I just gave it my best shot. For round 1, I think it was my answer to what made me king, which explains the difference between being king and prince. After all, I'm not as well-known as Sonychak, so I was convinced he was going to win. But I guess it was me putting my all, talent and all, that might have made them want to vote for me. And I thank them so much for that.
As for the talent thing on singing and whatnot, I can't say I have the absolute talent for it, but I like writing songs. So, I guess I went and gave that my best shot, and hoped for the best. I was told I was good with words, so I went with that, when I sang I guess it is just a leap of faith. I mostly think my push over to the edge may have something to do with the music I have made either my writing songs with lyrics, or my the Polar Bear Recordings website on Bandcamp which his filled with 4 of my complete works of experimental electronic music. I had so much I can hand in with my talent.
So, I can't quite say what it is that really made them vote for me. But I guess it is all in how I answered it. And also, it may have to do with the fact that in my second one, I kind of advertised Xanga with my hand-crafted crown and my letter to my past self. The self i was when I first had a xanga, simply because my then-girlfriend and her then-best friend talked me into it.
Starrynite45: Haha...so you just wrote out to express yourself as much as you could, right? Then which round was the hardest for you? mynameisblueskye: I originally though that the hardest round for me was going to be number 2, when they asked me to create my own sash and crown. I can't say I was the craftiest of the bunch, but I did it with a towel that was kind of ripping anyway. That was the hardest part. And I'll go on and say number 3's question of what defines a blogger was the toughest question to answer, because everyone blogs in different ways. Some do it to share some information, and some do it to alert us with their news, with bonus bad spelling and grammar. Haha!
Starrynite45: Yeah, yeah...bad grammar..ouch :P mynameisblueskye: But the hardest one for me was the second one. Because of the sash. It felt like Halloween. I don't know what to make my costume of, so I decided to be creative. Turns out I made some great stuff, when I wasn't trying to be so conservative about creating things like a sash or even a facial mask. hehe!
Despite what that might say, you probably will never see me opening a fashion line.
Starrynite45: And when you finally realized you won the contest...how did you feel, did you expect about the outcome? mynameisblueskye: When I won, i was actually surprised. Like I said, I expected Sonychak to win, especially since all of the people who weren't judges were rooting for either Sonychak or Mr_Faust. But when the judges liked me, I was surprised and grateful. I was going to share the award with Sonychak, because apparently, he is the people's Xangan. He is also the ladies' choice. I read all of those answers and votes.
Starrynite45: How about afterward, what did you gain from joining the contest? And if anyone asked you should they join this kind of contest on Xanga...what will you suggest them? mynameisblueskye: First, I'll answer what i gained...certainly some more friends. Hehe! But I guess i gained a bit of confidence. Like I said, I joined for fun. I wasn't really convinced I was going to win. But you can say , I definitely had some fun.
If they were to join up, I'd say, "have a leap of faith". Let people use the contest as a way of getting to know you, not just to win. After all, the prize may have been the suspenders, but the real prize is being open enough to gain more friends through Xanga. I'm a pretty big introvert, so risking things was worth it, and it was also definitely a lot of fun.
Oh, no...we're not done yet! Keep up with the next & final part of MyNameIsBluSkye interview soon!!
Also...please help support all Xangan by suggesting great quality Xangan you like to see get interview here!!!
What will you find years from now, when you hook into this contraption known as the internet? When you scour through that great landfill of information. Stack upon stacks of servers of web pages found and lost. Tossed and forgotten.
Will you find streams of conscious thought and quiet confessions? The raging debates, sweat on the keyboard, protection in the form of a monitor screen. Companies born on bubbles and killed in recessions, where under construction stays under construction. Trends and politics, videos and clips.
What will you think of our culture? This vibrant blood that runs through these cords and circuits, spreading at an incredible rate while the distance grows. An improper history fit for tabloids.
Will your heart grow heavy, as the sad weight of this world overwhelms you? Or will you be unable to contain your excitement watching championships won, speeches perfected, life overflowing. The humanity, oh it overwhelms, the hopes and the dreams, it mirrors well. A sheet of negatives for the life you have lived in color.
How you far will you travel? Will you make it to these ruins of flakes and stone...
Will you know what it means, will these words make you long for days past?
The flower fell upon a forgotten wind, cast down, where the ground turned it to stone.
With all the beauty, influence, drama and friendship on Xanga in these past weeks. No one could deny the spotlight of the Xanga-stopper, keyboard-breaking, reality-check contest of all time, Miss XangAmerica at all cost! Even Catpooish! After itching to get a paw on someone to be featured in different way. Now it’s a perfect chance for Catpooish fans to experience a new sensation of talented blogger via their own chatting!
Now, it's a time people has been waiting...interview with SerenaDante, a finalist in Miss XangAmerica 2009, and “Sexpert” blogger of her SerenaDante blog. Let’s see what she thinks about the contest and find out more about herself and her famous blog!
Catpooish: Firstly, please describe about yourself in 5 words. SerenaDante: lol erm... i'm funny-ish, smart-ish, and cool-ish. :D (5 word sentence!)
Catpooish: Haha, true to your word. Now we'll talk about Miss XangAmerica Contest that just ended. Why did you decide to join in the contest? What inspired you? SerenaDante: Nothing really inspired me at first, lol. I just decided to join for a bit of Xanga fun. But afterwards, all the cool ladies with their awesome posts and great pictures were very inspirational!
Catpooish: And you made it to the Top 5. How did you feel about it? SerenaDante: SUPER good! I wrote a thank you note on Xanga a while back, and like I said there, I felt really supported by everyone... it was totally awesome.
Catpooish: Yeah. It seems like you have many fan base for you & your blog. Having someone to cast your vote is pretty tough sometimes, what did you think people like about you from this contest and eventually voted you? SerenaDante: I guess it was just that I was taking the entire thing a bit less seriously than some of the others, and trying to seem relaxed/funny. And the fact that people already know and like me (mostly), lol. Yay!
Catpooish: Oh, I heard there were some dramas going on. What do you think about it when the contest is supposed to be fun? SerenaDante: Lol, there wasn't really that much drama. Or maybe I was just totally out of the loop, but I didn't really notice anything going on... I guess the biggest drama was when Mr_Jin posted some random thing comparing MXAmerica to MXAsia and called everyone in MXAmerica ugly, basically, lol. But it was all good. Stephanie, being the awesome lady that she is, got that all sorted out ^^
Catpooish: Anyway, with many contests going on in Xanga. In your opinion, what will bloggers who entered get from the contest on Xanga? Will it help to boost up their blogs as some may think? SerenaDante: Yeah, I think there was a boost in popularity ;) All the contestants added each other, it seemed, so that at least was a bit more.
Catpooish: Ahh, it seems like the contest is mostly for making new friend so it's a good activity on Xanga then. SerenaDante: Definitely!
Keep up with Pt.2 (solely about SerenaDante's blogging) which will be up soon! I assure you next part will be really useful for those who wanna boost up their blogs :D
I read an article recently by an English professor at Berkeley that states that the humanities (English, art history, history, etc.) are dying. Why? Well, obviously money plays a part. The humanities are being fostered in private schools, which are far more expensive than public schools. Ergo, the humanities are losing teaching jobs in many public universities; and meanwhile, people who study the humanities have to attend the more expensive schools. But unlike doctors or lawyers, English majors don't tend to make enough money to pay off their student loans once they graduate. It's a vicious cycle, one that doesn't exactly support a career in the humanities.
Chace, the author the article, also suggests that student enrollment in humanities classes has dropped because of a lack of coherence in the disciplines and "near exhaustion as a scholarly pursuit." He speaks of English Literature studies while my specialty is in art history; but I don't think the disciplines have run to exhaustion, although perhaps they're being taught as if they have. If English has run itself into exhaustion, perhaps because it's because it's retreading traditional literature instead of branching out to new books?
I have to admit that I never took an English class during the entire course of my college career. I took AP English in high school that counted for the general requirement English courses. That probably seems strange considering my obsession with enjoyment of books, but it was precisely because of that I didn't want to take English courses. As I've said before, reading is an entirely personal experience, and I wanted to enjoy it, not analyze it and then write essays about it.
*Pause for momentary realization of the irony of this statement*
Anyway, I always thought art history was more analytical because what you see is what you get. But the events in books take place in a person's mind, so... really I have no idea where I'm going with this post at this point. Other than I am, very strangely, one of those people who have avoided English courses. And if I don't want to take English classes, then you know something's wrong with the system. Did you notice where Chace mentions one strategy English professors want to employ is to rekindle time and love for reading? Yeah, unless you've got a time machine, the former isn't going to happen; and you can't force people to enjoy reading, so the latter's not going to work, either.
Do you have any experience with humanities studies? Do you think the study of art, history, and literature is as doomed as Chace predicts?
Catpooish is back with freshly report with yet another interesting Xangan which we started from winner & finalist of 3 contests and after some time zone difficulty, we managed to get a paw on this finalist of Xanga King 2009 who’s very funny and has so many insight thoughts toward blogging that another Xangan bloggers could use on their blogging too.
Ladies & gentlemen please welcome, Sonychak, a finalist of Xanga King 2009!
Catpooish: Start with my traditional question: Please describe yourself in five words Sonychak: like in a sentence or like five different words like intelligent, funny, smart? Catpooish: yeah different words Sonychak: haha ok, hmm let me think...sarcastic, humble, approachable, funny, dangerous. haha i just wanted to say dangerous for fun
Catpooish: LOL Sonychak: i thought it be a great way to finish it since dangerous doesn't go with any of the other 4 i said. =)
Catpooish: Haha, yeah. Funny but dangerous? Sounds like the Joker. Sonychak: haha well i think it adds personality to the answer =P
Catpooish: Haha, right. Then next question...let's get straight to Xanga King event Sonychak: haha alright
Catpooish: What inspired you to join in this contest? Sonychak: A bunch of different reasons really. I did for the excitement, the boredom, and mostly because I have never done anything like that competition before. I always saw competitions like this on Xanga, but never had the "balls" to enter. So when I saw the idea for this one I finally decided to "man up" and show Xanga what I got. It was entertaining while it lasted and I think thanks to that competition I gained many new readers.
Catpooish: Yeah, I'm kinda your fan right now . Sonychak: aww, thanks. haha see you are a perfect example.
Sonychak: haha ready for the next question =) Catpooish: Oh, alright. Then, have you ever thought that youself could go through to the final round? & how did you feel about it when you did?
I decided to post up "Save the Tatas" entries from Steffy(they_call_me_steffyjean) because she has the intention to raise the breast cancer awareness to people a lot more and of course, in her own way. I support her idea and I think it's also the example of the blog that can attract lots of attention by its presentation way.
But I'm NOT saying I agree or disagree on posting nude/semi-nude photo of anyone. It is based solely on each person's point of view. But technically, posting breast pics with nipples is considered an explicit stuff (so that's why Playboy or MAXIM cover nipples up but that's still the D rate).
Let's just say, I'll keep it neutral by NOT POSTING ANY EXPLICIT OR DISCRETION RATE CONTENT HERE. No matter what it is because I want every blogger from the youngest ones (13+) to the oldest one, and every point of view can enjoy this blog which our goal is to feature a lot of quality contents and trying to present you on how to blog and gain friends and traffic to the blog.
But beware, sometimes we might feature links to the the explicit or discretion rate contents (just like we used to feature a snippet of erotic story here) in which we will rate that post CAUTION with the note of why it's rated C.
Anyway, here is the entry from Steffy explained about why she does this and how to participated in
LOOK MORE BOOBIES!!!!!Except these boobies are covered!
For those of you that don't know what this is all about -- really, you'd have to be living under a rock if you don't -- I am asking women, breast cancer survivors or not, to send in pictures of their breasts in support of breast cancer awareness month. These pictures do not have to show your face, nor do they have to show your nipples. There are a few women who have used a tank top or scarf to cover their nipples. Some even used their hands. I am also asking for guest bloggers who's lives have been touched by breast cancer as a survivor or a caregiver. If you are interested in participating you can e-mail your pictures and/or stories to lilmssteffyjean@yahoo.com .
There are a few things I want to clear up about this whole "campaign".
I am not doing this because Dan is asking for pictures. As a matter of fact I sent in my picture last year to another user who was doing the same thing which is how I found out about the different click to give sites.
I am not doing this because I want to sexually exploit people's boobs.
I am not doing this because I am trying to disrespect breast cancer survivors.
I am not doing this because I want to drive traffic to my site. I have no problem with traffic without posting pictures of boobs. I average about 1,000 footprints a day.
I am doing this because it's a fun way to create awareness.
I am doing this because people NEED to be educated.
I am doing this because breast cancer as touced my life.
I am doing this because there are HUNDREDS of women who can't afford to have a mamorgram.
Now, let me restate what I am asking for.
I want women to share pictures of their boobs. Especially survivors of breast cancer! All participants must be 18 years or older! Sorry ladies, I am not sportin' child porn on my site.
You may take the picture of just your chest area. You do not have to show your face. If you're brave enough include your username in your e-mail.
I would also like for people to send an e-mail if they are interested in doing a guest blog about breast cancer.
So threats against the life of the President have INCREASED 400% since Barack Obama was sworn into office. He faces on average 30 death threats a day, says the Secret Service.
So you still think it's a good idea for morons to bring assault weapons to events where the President is speaking?
You still think race plays no part in this?
Some moron brought a sign that said "we didn't bring our guns, THIS TIME..." Another had one that said "Hitler made good speeches too..."
Really? Obama=Hitler? Comparing Obama to someone that was responsible for the deaths of 8 MILLION INNOCENT PEOPLE?
This is no longer the fringe of the conservative wing of the Republican Party. This is their base.
You think I'm wrong? State your point. Recommend to your friends so they can too.
Catpooish Admin's Note: This post maybe a bit short but I think the comments on there is also interesting to read so go and voice your opinion. BTW, I'm not American. LOL.
